Private jet safety and certification

Safety is not merely our commitment; it is fundamental to everything we do. We have invested millions in enhancing our safety and service infrastructure. From our groundbreaking Independent Safety Advisory Board to our unique safety and flight certification technologies, we are wholly dedicated to upholding the highest safety standards.

BlackJet Certified®

A vital aspect of our safety program is our stringent certification process known as BlackJet Certified. Guided by our Chief Safety Officer, we individually certify every operator, aircraft, pilot, and flight within our program, ensuring that each journey adheres to our strict safety criteria.

Operator certification

BlackJet arranges more flights than any other charter procurement company in the nation, allowing us to establish and maintain preferred partnerships with elite operators. Notably, fewer than 30% of the over 575 charter jet operators in the U.S. have passed the certification process required to serve BlackJet clients.

Aircraft certification

To achieve BlackJet Certified status, each aircraft undergoes a thorough evaluation of its operational history, including maintenance reliability, and must pass a detailed inspection that assesses critical safety elements alongside the aircraft’s comfort and condition.

Pilot certification

Every crew member from our partner operators is individually certified by BlackJet. Our pilots are expected to adhere to elevated safety standards that exceed the requirements set by FAR Part 135 across multiple categories.

Flight certification

Once a trip is booked, it receives the BlackJet Certified designation, with current information on the assigned operator, aircraft, and crew verified against our database to confirm that all safety measures are in place.
